Engines and Mechanical

  • This boat is equipped with the well proven, very reliable Caterpillar 3412E(1400HP) engine option. The owner transported the boat from Bertram Yacht, Miami FL through the Panama Canal to Cabo San Lucas. This trip accounted for 400 engine hours, at an average speed of 10 knots.
  • The engine hours since its arrival to Cabo have been 80% at trolling speed(approx 10gph), and 20% at cruising speed. As engine service life is related to how much fuel is consumed over time by the engine, it can be expected that as these engines have been run at low speed/low fuel burn over most of the accumulated hours, they will provide many years of reliable service. All maintenance is current. Caterpillar electronic displays
